I may be a bit late with this but to be fair who would build trails out of grass? It would be alot slower and would get torn up in seconds! It is a great picture but still completely photoshopped. Waiting in the grass, the hungry photographer springs up to catch its prey only to realize the mountain biker is flying much to fast and high to be caught. 
Anyone know the song for renner's bit? And we observe as the wild spectator emerges from the bushes to view the display of manliness and style put on by the wild mountainbiker. 
Despite the fact you have no idea whats going on here, I think that helps make it an awesome picture!
